Note: Margaret was a retired school teacher. She lived on her parents home place in Hidden Valley , near Watsonville. She also had a home in Santa Cruz. She lived in Honolulu during the early 1920,s. The following is from the Watsonville Register, 10 May, 1988. Margaret King Church, a longtime resident of Hidden Valley, in North Monterey County, died yesterday in a local convalescent hospital. she was 93. Mrs. Church was born in Towanda, KS. After receiving her teaching credential from Fresno State Teachers College, she taught school in Hawaii, and in several schools in Monterey and San Benito counties. In 1925 she moved to Hidden Valley with her parents. In 1928 she married Warren Church, son of Elkhorn pioneers Warren and Honora Church, who had settled in Hidden Valley in 1868. Mrs. Church was a descendant of original settlers of Massachusetts. She leaves a son, former Monterey County Supervisor, Warren Church, of Hidden Valley: a sister, Mary Perkins, of Greenfield: a grandson Glenn Church, Hidden Valeey: a granddaughter, Lraine King Poncy, of Sunnyvale: nieces and nephews. Her husband died in 1967, and her son Royal died in 1979. No services were held. Cremation will take place, with burial in Moss Landing Cemetery.
