Note:   15 Sep 2010 from 1860 Census (digital image) it shows Christopher Chancy in Appling County, Georgia with wife Nancy and daughter Elizabeth and sons William, Joseph (my Jeremiah?) and daughter Isabel. A pretty good match for my family. Christopher is listed as a farmer with real estate valued at $1500 and personal property valued at $1264. He can evidently read and write. Shows he and his whole family were born in GA.
