Note: 9-16-2006 On LDS search engine (www.familysearch.org) there is a Jonathan Snow (AFN:VZRD-89) born abt 1793 in Bangor, Penobscott, Maine.
Parents are Jonathan Snow (AFN:BR4K-0N) b. abt 1771 Gouldsboro, Hancock, Maine and Mary Tibbetts (AFN:2FJ4-HQ) b. 1771 Gouldsborough, Hancock, Maine, d. 19 aug 1859 Campbell Co. Kentucky. Parents married on 27 oct 1798 Bangor, Penobscott, Maine.
Mary's parents are William Tibbetts (AFN:2FJ3-TB) and Luarana (Nabby) Young (AFN:2FJ3-VH). Tibbetts family goes back on file to 1674.
Theory as of 9-16-2006: Jonathan Snow born in Maine moves with family (or wiht mother and his brother David to Kentucky after father dies. There he marries and has daughter Mary (named after his mother). Living in Campbell Co. KY it isn't that hard to imagine a Vaught coming through from VA or even living in IN and marrying Mary and then removing to Indiana (Johnson County).. Campbell co. KY is on the northern tip of the state, almost due east of Johnson/Clark Co.s IN. Not all that far apart.
