Note: 14 Sep 2010 1900 Census in Florida has a Sidney Kemp, father of three children (Marrianne (it's hard to read...could be Martha or something like that) b. 1892, Willimetta b. 1897, and Alger b. 1899 all in Florida). Could Emma be the nickname for Willimetta? Birth years are close...the family was living in Hernando County (near Levy county where he died at Cedar Key). Sidney listed as widower, born in Florida to parents born in Georgia (father) and Alabama (mother). All the children however, are listed as born in Florida to parents both born in Georgia. He never attended school but can read, write and speak English. Could this be the mysterious Sidney Kemp that so many people say was born in the Bahamas? *************************************** 11-2-09 From records search function at www.familysearch.org Name: Sidney Kemp Titles: Titles & Terms - Prefix(standardized): Death date: 31 May 1905 Death place: Cedar Key, Levy, Florida Gender: Male Race or color (on document): white Race or color (expanded): White Age at death: 48y Estimated birth year: 1857 Birthdate: Birthplace: Bahama Marital status: Married Spouse's name: Mary Kemp Spouse's titles: Spouse's Titles & Terms - Prefix(standardized): Father's name: Father's titles: Father's Titles & Terms - Prefix(standardized): Father's birthplace: Mother's name: Mother's titles: Mother's Titles & Terms - Prefix(standardized): Mother's birthplace: Occupation: Laborer Street address: Residence: Cemetery name: Burial place: Cedar Key Burial date: 01 Jun 1905 Funeral home: Informant's name: Additional relatives: Film number: 2116941 Reference number: Vol 09 cn 1340 Collection: Florida Deaths, 1877-1939
