a. Note:   George Vaught was s/o John Andrease Vaught and Elizabeth.
  He made a will 13 Mar 1825 in Wythe Co., VA There is considerable difference between George and his wife Christiana. During the 1774 Shawnee Indian War, George spent 41 days in Smith's Company. In 1775 George settled on Cripple Creek Wythe Co., VA.
  George was mustered out of the Continental Army because he had a flour mill.
 Flour was needed and it was felt he could serve best at home.
  In 1781, he was in Captain Love's Co. The will of George Vaught was dated 13 Mar 1825 and proved 11 Aug 1835.
  "Wife Christiana completely and fully to possess all my property.
  After her death sons David, John Andrew, George, Peter and Charles and daughter. Mary to be paid one dollar each, they having been already provided for. My son Joseph $30.00, my sons Abraham and Jefferson to have all my land and my mill with exception of 1 (ONE) acre and a saw mill that I have given to my 2 (TWO) sons Charles and Joseph. Sons Abraham and Jefferson to pay to my 2 (TWO) daughters Elizabeth and Christiana $280.00" (see page 244 Kirkwood, in section recording "A Partial History of the Vaught Family" by Judge Edgar S. Vaught)
  A deed dated 9 Oct 1823 Wythe Co., VA has the following "...between Christopher Phillipy and Elizabeth his wife, George Vaught and Christiana his wife, Christian Vaught and Elizabeth his wife, Frederick Copenhaver and Eva his wife, Henry Cullop and Caty his wife, Henry Baugh and Margaret his wife, Peter Wisely and Magdalena his wife, Mary Amey, John Steffy and Rosanah his wife, and Barbara Phillipy, heirs aparent of John Phillipy deceased of the one part......"
  The Eichelberger genealogy is included in "The Rosenbaum - Rosenbalm Family of Southwest Virginia" by Clifford R. Canfield.
  Christiana Phillippi was b. 12 Dec 1763 in PA (see "The Phillippi Family Tree" by Royer and Strahley) Christiana's age is consistant with a wife of 3rd gen. Vaughts rather than 2nd gen. Vaughts.
