Lola Mae Carpenter 60, of Indianapolis, died peacefully in her home on the evening of Wednesday, August 2, 2006. She was born in Bell County, Kentucky on April 5, 1946. Lola never met a stranger. She was a kind and generous person to her family and friends, who will miss her very much. She was the loving wife of Eulos "Gene" Carpenter, her husband of 43 years; devoted mother to her daughter Sherry (son-in-law Bob) Sprong; and sons Fred (daughter-in-law Mariann) and Scott (daughter-in-law Elise) Carpenter; daughter of Hester Vaughn and grandmother of Jessica Sprong, Emily, Benjamin and Mason Carpenter. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center � Washington Park East, 10722 E.
