Notes
a. Note:   Address given on Lodge material from Freemason's Hall: 12 Lebanon Gdns, London; occupation Concert Agent. 1881 census [age 28:] Occupation: clerk. Also Lord Kitchener's valet, and member of his Lodge. Retired to Hopedean, Chichester Rd, Donnington, where he lived with his sister Janet and her companion Polly. He was a fine
pianist. My mother thought he was a Lloyds underwriter. He was a great friend of the Vicar of Donnington. He was thus reputed to have been buried by the church door - but I looked there without success.
b. Note:   No sign of Dane Hill. Cd it possibly be Dunts Hill?
c. Note:   age 48 Merchant's Clerk: in mother's house with Celia & Janet & two guests. See 1901C.bmp
