 BENJAMIN L. ANDERSON was educated in the district schools and has always lived on a farm. He owns 78 acres of well improved land in Cockrell Township and does general farming and stock raising. On March 22 1893, Mr. Anderson married Miss Mary E. Long, a native of Chariton Co., born July 20,1872, and to this union the following children were born: Jack, born Mar. 1, 1894, lives at Gary , Indiana; Lucile Welch, born Feb. 23, 1897, lives in Kansas City, Kansas, and has one child, Marjorie, born April 8, 1922; George D. born April 18,1898, lives in Cockrell Twp. and has one child, Venice, born Aug 2 1918; Gilbert,,born Oct. 10, 1900, lives in Kansas City, Kansas; Fanny May Watheford, Born Sept. 27, 1902, lives in Kansas City, Kansas, and is employed by the Journal Post and Roe, born Sept. 23, 1909, at home.
 Mr. Anderson is a Republican and a member of the United Bretheren Church. He is an energetic man who stands well in the esteem of his neighbors and fellow citzens.
