This David had a great influence on the writing of the book "Blacksheariana" by Perry Lynnfield Blackshear who said "This David is responsible for the good or not so good in this compilation of Genealogical Material about people named Blackshear. He first interested me by inquiring about my family in 1949. Then I had no interest in the subject but the subject remained in mind for several years when in 1952 I first made other inquiries which culminated in this publication.
