Note: erta which was originally a predominantly colored settlement. The only one of her children who remained in the Campsie area on the farm was her son James Willis. (Jim)who who farmed approximately six miles away from the Walker Miller Beaver farm. The other children Annie,Doreen,Alfred and Kathleen moved to Edmonton and have remained in the Edmonton area until now.During the summer holidays my brother Oliver and I ,Vernon visited and stayed at aunt Ivy's home for several weeks two consecutive years in a row.We were perhaps eight to ten years old at that time.I also spent several weeks in the summer at her sons Jim's farm before he was married. This was approx 1948/50 and Aunt Ivy was most kind and considerate to us and we enjoyed our holidays at her place very much.
