Note: yed in her home for approximately six years beginning June 1959 and ending may 1965.She was my mother's sister and I was treated just like one of her children.she woke me in the morning for work, cooked, sewed, she took care of her sons Art,Willis and I and we must have got on her nerves, but I never her her ever complain about anything. She would get after us for not eating right, or not getting enough sleep etc.Even after I moved from her home when my brother Oliver came to calgary she would call Oliver and I and invite us over for dinner supper etc.She used to call me at work to tell me she had baked pies for us or that she had made homemade ice cream and she did this practically right up until she moved to the Senior Citizen Lodge shortly before her passing.I loved and respected her just as if she was my mother, and those times when we met at her house or when all her sons and daughter had came to Calgary and we were all over to her daughter Peggy's is a treasured time in my life.
Note: Veola Bowen(aunt Vee)was a very special person in my life.I(Vernon)sta
