Note: e met Elaine Lillian Bouldin(1941) and she became Mrs.Edward Hurbert Bowen at their wedding June tenth 1946 in Winnipeg.Attendants at Ed and Elaine's wedding:
Yvonne Blanchette,Helen Bailey,Geoffery(Jeff)Bowen and Roscoe Williams.Edward was employed by the Canadian National Railway Company and after 42 years of dedicated service to this company he retired in 1977.Patricia Marlene Bowen first child of Edward and Elaine Bowen graduated and was awarded a Batchelor's degree from the University of Winnipeg in 1968.Patricia was awarded her Certificate of Education from the University of Manitoba in 1969. Marilyn Edith Bowen second child of Edward and Elaine Bowen graduated from the Winnipeg Health Science Centre School of nursing in 1988.Ed and John Bowen owned and operated several trucks in the Winnipeg area and although both continued with their career jobs with the Railway Companies they drove and operated the trucks when they were home between making trips out of town.Ed and John were the only two Willis Bowen Sr's. sons to live in Winnipeg and were not only brothers, but best friends, who worked together ,owned property together,confided in each other and genuinely enjoyed each others company.Elaine and daughters Patricia and Marilyn presently still live in Winnipeg.
