Note:   Anthony Bard and Helena DuBois are named as John Bard's parents in "Genealogy of that branch of the Russell Family which comprises the descendants of John Russell, of Woburn, Massachusetts, 1640-1878", by John Russell Bartlett, published 1879. However, buried with Anthony is Lena Ackert Bard, "his wife". Are Lena Ackert and Helena DuBois the same person?
  Anthony was a native of Germany, his surname originally Barth. He was a prominent butcher in Rhinebeck.
  Anthony died age 70-11-3 and was buried in the churchyard of St. Peter's Church (German Lutheran), Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, New York. This churchyard is located about three and a quarter miles north of the village of Rhinebeck, on the New York and Albany Post Road, at St. Peter's Church.
