  Obituary:
 "Alfred B. Lane, a life-long resident of Willow, town of Woodstock, died at his home in that hamlet Friday, January 12, after a lingering illness, being in his 74th year of his age. Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons and two daughters, one brother and four sisters. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 14 at 2 p.m. in the Wesleyan Church, Willow. The interment was in the Willow Cemetery."---The Kingston Daily Freeman, Kingston, Ulster County, New York, issue Monday Evening, 15 Jan 1923, p.8.
