Note: Alonzo and his brother Jerome married sisters. Alonzo died age 75 of chronic myocarditis, goiter. He died testate, probate Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, and was buried in Lehman Center Cemetery, Lehman, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Newspaper Articles: "Alonzo Lane and son, Samuel, of Wilkesbarre, Pa., who visited Mr. Lane's sister, Mrs. John Fernbecker[sic], on Salem street for a few days, went to Woodstock yesterday to visit Alfred Lane. Mrs. Fernbecker had not met her brother for sixteen years."---The Kingston Daily Freeman, Kingston, Ulster County, New York, issue Wednesday Evening, 22 Aug 1906, p.5. Obituary: "Alonzo A. Lane, aged 75, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Lamoreaux, 75 North Vaughn street, Kingston, following an illness of complications. Mr. Lane is survived by a son, S. C. Lane, and a daughter, Mrs. Lamoreaux, of Kingston. The funeral will be held from the home of his daughter, 75 North Vaughn street, Kingston, on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
