  Death Notice and Obituary:
 "Mrs. Lavina C. Lane, 82, widow of James E. Crum, who died many years ago, died this morning at her home at Fulton avenue, after a short illness. Mrs. Crum was born in Woodstock but had spent the greater part of her life in this city. She was a member of Hedding Methodist church. Surviving are three sons, Robert E., James O. and Oliver H. Crum; a daughter, Mrs. Benson Galloway, and a sister, Mrs. Lydia Offhouse, all of this city. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon with Dr. Howard F. Thompson, paster of the Washington Street Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the Poughkeepsie Rural cemetery under the direction of the Belfridge Funeral Home."---The Poughkeepsie Star Enterprise, Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, issue Thursday, 09 Mar 1939, p.16.
