a. Note:   Constance was born 02 Jul 1859 in Cuddalore, India. She married (1) Emmanuel Forchhammer (1851-1890), with whom she had a daughter, Hildegard. Emil may have adopted Hildegard, as she became known as Hildegard C. Dorn. In 1922, Hildegard was residing at Hotel Astor in New York City. Also in 1922, Constance applied for a passport to Germany to visit relatives in Hannover. She applied for multiple extensions to remain in Germany, the last extension expiring 5 Oct 1924, and it is not known if she returned to the United States.
