a. Note:   Amasa was a farmer and proprietor of a water-powered sawmill. In 1850 non-population census, he is recorded as employing two men at $48 per month each. His mill produced 65,000 feet of boards and 55,000 feet of timber annually. Amasa died age 84 and was buried in Wesleyan Methodist Church cemetery, Willow, Town of Woodstock, Ulster County, New York.
