a. Note:   Thomas source came from Allegany County Genealogical Society who provided me with a family group sheet of Thomas and his children. Note he served as a Ensign and on 8-27-1798 he was appointed to fill a vacancy in the Regiment as a Lieutenant. ( notes were not complete about Thomas's service, but gather his must of served in the Revolutionary War).
