My name is Sandra Fay Switzer(Kain), My Great Grandfather was,
Jakob Kain, I believe that he was born on November 2,1840. His occupation was
unknown, he was left some money. He as his ancestors were from the
Pennsylvania area, He died on February 19,1916. he married Mary Virginia
Kain(Brown), a white slave(identured servant)who was freed by Abraham
Lincoln. Mary was born on December 25, 1854. Jakob purchased her and then
they got married.They had 6 children.Mary Virginia Kain whose husband was a
civil war veteran, Mary had a fall in 1932, it fracturd her hip, and also
claimed her eyesight, she was blind. Mary Virginia Kain lived at the Ryon
Rest Home. On Fifth Street, in Aurora, Illinois. She died in 1956, A Son,
Arthur Elwood Kain Sr., who was born on November 2,1880, Arthur Elwood Kain
Sr., was my Grandfather he married Mabel Adelle Kain(York) Mable Adelle York
who was born on December 30,1888, of Caldwell, Kansas.Arthur Elwood Kain Sr.,
and Mable Adelle Kain(York), Arthur and Mable had 6 children, Mary Ellen
Wurtz(Kain) who was born on September 16,1907, Jacob Lee Kain, who was born
on January 23, 1909, Martin Luther Kain, who was born on November 18,1910.
Nora Virginia Sutcliff (Kain). Arthur Elwood Kain Jr. (My Dad) who was born
on November 2,1917, in Ava(Good Hope) Misouri. He was married to Eleanor
Joyce Kain(Banbury) who was born on January 11, 1919, Mom died on June 27,
1999.She was born in Aurora, and she died in Aurora, Illinois.and Daisy Mae
Fanscali (Worby) (Kain).She was born on August 31,1920. Jakob and Mary
Virginia Kain's 2 daughters.Louise Morse(Kain), who I believe was born on
February 3,1883, not sure who her husband was.Louise died April of 1971.I do
not know if Louise had any children, a sister, Rose Fletcher(Kain) was born
on November 25,1885, she lived in Aurora, Illinois, she died on August
15,1967. She was married to Elzie Fletcher, who was born on December
21,1896., he died in January of 1972. I believe that Rose and Elzie had only
1 child, Eva Boulding(Fletcher) is this correct ? 3 more sons, William Andrew
Kain who was born on October 26,1894 in Ottawa, Illinois, he was a truck
driver.He died as he was getting out of his truck, it was a tragic death, his
head was made out of wax. He died on May 16,1953. He was married to Della
Jane Kain(Fletcher),who was born on March 26,1899. She died in Marion,
Illinois on October 3,1986. They had 6 children, George William Kain, who was
born February 22,1916, Cecil Lawrence Kain, who was born October 9, 1918.,
Norman Leon Kain, who was born on August 28, 1920, Harold M. Kain, who was
born on November 28, 1921, Louella Kain, who was born on July 6,1924, she
died as a infant on December 20, 1924.and Eva Marie Paulo(Kain)who was born
on March 14,1925. Another Son of Jakob and Mary Virginia Kain is Mark William
Kain, of Kenton, Kentucky, I believe he was born on December 31, 1895. Do you
know if this is correct, Not sure if he was married. Do you know? they also
had a son Edward (Edmund) Daniel Kain who was born on September 10,1896.he
was from Illinois, he died in Illinois. I am not sure if he was married or if
he had any children, do you know, I am working on the Kain family tree, and
would appreciate any information you could give me, I may be a very good
source for you if you need any information on some of our ancestors, I do
