Standard Sanitary Mfg Co., produced enameled cast-iron bathtubs exclusively. Later they were a major producer of enameled cast-iron bathroom fixtures such as heavy sanitary ware like toilets, bathtubs and sink bowls. It is a fact worthy of mention that ever since the firm was first organized, the plant has been in full operation and has not missed a single pay day. It can readily be seen that in addition to bringing industrious men and establishing new homes in the town, the large amount of money put in circulation by the employees has resulted in material benefit to the borough of New Brighton. The goods of their manufacture have a wide reputation and are sold in the markets of all the countries of Europe, in Australia, Japan, Cuba, and the Hawaiian Islands, as well as in every state in the Union. ---------------------------------- 16 Jan 1920 John and his wife are still living at 615 9th St., New Brighton, with his son George and his wife Ruth and Amanda's niece, Helen M Bagnell (daughter of Adeline - now deceased - and Harry Grant Bagnell.)
