Our examination revealed that Mr. Parry had severe pulmonary emphysema and chronic infection of the air passages of his lungs. In addition, his heart had been affected by his longstanding lung disease and he had chronic heart failure. The combination of the lung infection and the heart failure was responsible for his death. We found no evidence of any other significant disease....” Very Truly Yours, Jerome E. Cohn, M.D. Acting Chief Pulmonary Disease Section --------------------
