Has had heart bypass surgery, throatcancer, catarac surgery, and prostate cancer. Thomas A Anderson, 72, of Birch Avenue, Moundsville died Monday,December 16, 2002, at home. He was born March 1, 1930 in Moundsville, the son of the late HenryWard Anderson and Daisy Olive Dowler Anderson. He was retired from the US Naval Reserves, having served from 1948to 1974, a retired foreman from the packing and shiping department andmachine cut shop from the former Fostoria Glass Co (37 years), amember of Simpson United Methodist Church, the Naval Enlisted RetiredAssociation, Fleet Reserves and the National Rifle Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother,Charles J; two infant brothers, Donald and Dale; and a sister, NancySchlumberger. Survivors include his wife, Jeanie Yeater Anderson; a daughter,Linda (Rev Todd) Frail of Findlay, OH; three sons, Thomas VernonAnderson and Charles A (Corrine) Anderson,, all of Moundsville andTimothy W (Sue) Anderson of Cross Lanes, WV; a brother, James EAnderson of Moundsville; two sisters, Marguerite L Young ofMoundsville and Rosemary Shuttlesworth of McMechen; fivegrandchildren, Gabe, Seth, and Megan Frail and Sarah and MaryAnderson; and a great-granddaughter, Eowyn Eleanor Frail. Family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at GrisellFuneral Home, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00am. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, (where fullmilitary honors will be provided by the Moundsville Post 437 HonorGuard).
