Note:   AKA: Leucha FitzWilliam ----------------- Leucha, living 1162, perhaps daughter of William Fitz Neel of Halton, Constable of Cheshire. [Ancestral Roots] ----------------- He [Robert de Mohaut] married Leucha (f), who survived him. He probably died circa 1162. [Complete Peerage IX:10-11, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)] (f) It has been conjectured that she was a daughter of William FitzNeel of Halton, because Neston and other FitzNeel manors are found to have passed to the Mohaut family. Robert 'dapifer' was first witness for a charter by William II FitzNeel, Constable of Chester. ----------------- Ormerod's The History of County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol I, p. 58 Robert de Monte Alto, or Montalt, was the son an heir of Randulfo Monte Alto, and was like his father, Dapifer or Hereditary Seneschal to the earl of Cheshire. He lived during the reign of Stephen. He married a woman named Leucha, who held the rectory of Neston in her dower. She is named in the retrospective In inquisition of Edward I respecting the dower of the ladies of Hawarden.
