a. Note:   mother�s maiden name. Her mother possibly went home to her parents inorder to have someone to take of her first child, William. Joseph, in his will of 24 APR 1706, mentions and provides for wifeEsther; also for his four sons and four daughters, and naming the sonsbut not the daughters. He was a bricklayer by trade. Constable from1675 to 1678, inclusive. Selectman, 1671, 1677, 1684, and 1692. Sextonof the parish in 1673, and served in this capacity until the newmeeting-place was erected. They lived on the paternal homestead, SouthStreet.
Note:   I believe the fact that Esther was born in Boston may be a clue to her
