  From Probate Files for Clinton D. Ribble, Deceased
  This indenture maid and
 executed at Pennfild in the County of
 Calhoun and State of Michigan this
 13 ~ day of Dec 1893 between Clinton D. Ribble
 of the town of Pennfild county & State afore
 Said of the first part and Samuel
 George and Ida George his wife
 Of Kalamazoo Mich of second part
 Witnesseth that the said Party of the first
 part has agreed to leas and to farm
 let and the said Second parties have
 agreed to take and do hereby take all
 the following price or parcel of land situate
 and being in the township of Pennfild
 county of Calhoun and State of Michigan
 to wit the farm of forty acres owned and
 occupide by said first party being[?] part of
 Section Eleven of said town of Pennfield for
 the term of five years commencing on
 the first day of April 1899
 and for and in consideration of the
 aforesaid term of [????] of the said
 premises the said partys of the second
 part promises to pay to the said
 party of the first part his heirs
 executors administrators or assigns as
 follows viz to give him
 or them one half of the net
 receipts from all crops raised and
 produce sold from said farm
 during the term of this lease the
 agreement being that said first party
 shall furnish team and tools for
 working said place and leave
 therein such stock as he has and
 and said team is to be fed and the
 family is to be fed from the proceeds
 of said farm undivided and the balance
 of crops grown and income from
 stock left by said first party is to be
 marketed by said second parties and
 the proceeds equaly divided between
 the parties have to as aforesaid. Said
 first party and wife are to constitute part
 of family in case said first party
 shall leave hay or grain one or both
 on said premises when said second
 party takes possession then a like
 amt shall be left for him by said
 second party at expiration of said
 term and any stock left on place
 by first party shall be appraised and
 a like amount shall be left by
 second party at end of term
  or if any of said stock shall be
 sold the appraised value shall be
 first paid to said first party and
 balance equally divided as aforesaid
 there being no wood on said farm
 it is agreed that in case said
 first party shall buy wood by the
 acer[?] said second party is to
 cut and hawl same but in case
 it is bought by the cord and each
 party to pay for half
 taxes is on the property are to be paid
 amt of gross or undivided receipts
 from crops sold
 all crops grown upon said farm
 to be treated as security for
 preforemance of agreement of
 said second parties and either
 party hereto failes to perform his
 part of this contract shall make
 amends to the other party in amount
 affixed by disinterested parties
 said second party further agrees
 to do all of said farm work in a
 good and workman like manner and
 at the expiration of said term peacibly
 surrender and give up possession of
 said property
 o the full performance of this
 contract we respectfully subscribe

  It is hereby stipulated and agreed by
 And between Samuel George and
 Ida George his wife of one part and
 Seth T. Davis administrator of
 the Estate of Clinton D. Ribble
 deceased that this agreement shall
 terminate and cease on the 9th day
 of November[?] 1894. and the land
 describer in this agreement delivered
 [unreadable] administrator at that time
 upon the following conditions but
 said parties of the first part shall be
 entitled to one half of the spring
 crops raised on said land this year
 and surrender his intent in the wheat
 now growing on the land and said
 administrator shall also pay the parties
 of the first part forty dollars on
 the day[?] of recind[?] said first party
 shall hush and put one hallf of the
 corn in the corn crib for[?] said
 administrator
