Notes
a. Note:   2. William Samuel-2 Utley (Samuel-1) was born Tennessee 1830.
He married Sarah "Sally" Flatt Tishomingo MS, 11-17-1853. Sarah was born Tennessee 1836. Sarah was the daughter of John Flatt. Sarah died 1913 Alcorn County MS, at 77 years of age.
Sarah lived with Columbus in the 1900 census in Corinth MS. She may be buried in that area somewhere.
William died before the 1900 census because Sarah was living with their son Columbus at that time.
William Samuel Utley and Sarah "Sally" Flatt had the following children:
 + 13 I. John Samuel-3 Utley was born 1856.
+ 14 ii. William Columbus Utley was born 2-16-1861,
15 iii. Trussie Utley was born 1867. Her body was interred. Both Ben and Trussie are buried at Salem Cemetery in Corinth Ms. She married Ben King. I have heard two stories about how both Trussie and Ben died. First both died when they ate vegetables out of the garden that had been sprayed around to poison weevils. Second both died after eating some food that had thought to be made with flour, but had been made from a poison that was kept in a flour can.
They may have lived in Stantonville, McNairy County TN or Savannah, Hardin County, TN.
