Note: Paul was confirmed March 25, 1923 at the Lutheran Church in Hamburg, MN. After completing his elementary schooling in Hamburg, he continued his education at Corcordia in St. Paul, MN. From there he went to the Lutheran Semonary in St. Louis to complete his Ministry Degree. He graduated in 1932 but no calls were available during the depression. His first congregation was in Auburn, NE. in 1934. He served as an Army Chaplin (1943-1945) during World War II. He was stationed at Camp Walters, Texas. He also served in North Africa and Italy.
