a. Note:   N72 Buried in Greenwood in Albea family plot. Obit, The Greenville News, 27 May 1947, pg 6 "C. Vernon Albea Greenwood, May 26 - Funeral services for C. Vernon Albea will be held from Lowell Street Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 4 with Rev. B. H. Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood cemetery. Mr. Albea, former of Greenwood resident, and more recently of Greenville, died Sunday in a Columbia hospital following an illness of several months. He was a son of Mrs. Nina Sprouse Albea of Greenwood and the late William A. Albea. He was a carpenter and also engaged in textile work. Surviving in addition to his mother are four children: Mrs Doyle Clary, Greenville, Misses Marie, Pansy and Roy Albea, Atlanta; three brothers, Melvin, Paul and Coleman Albea, and one sister, Mrs. Hoyt Faulkner, of Greenwood."
