Obituary
DOLORES HARVEY WIATT, passed from this life into the next on October 9, 2005 at the age of 85. A woman with a strong and simple faith, she joins her husband of 63 years, Joe A. Wiatt, Sr. who preceded her in death. Although she was born June 3, 1920 in Rochester Minnesota, she became a Texan as soon as she could by moving to Abilene with her husband and family in 1955 and finally residing in the Houston area for nearly 40 years. Her happiest years were on their small farm in New Waverly where she and her husband enjoyed bird watching, gardening and hosting the family to Bar-B-Qs. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Houston's Veteran's Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church at 10:00am on October 12, 2005. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Faith In Practice 7500 Beechnut, Suite 208, Houston, Texas 77074.
