He is also listed in the 1800 census for Stokes Co., N.C. He is also listed with his father and brother William, in the 1747 list of tithables for Goochland Co., VA As documented in Cumberland County Order Book 1752-1758, p. 70 and 76, respectively, both William Allen and Thomas Yuille brought charges against Henry ARNOLD in the May 1753 court. These charges were dismissed for " reasons appearing to the court". In the July 1755 Court, a Petition and Summons was brought against Henry ARNOLD by Thomas Merrman, assignee for Ephraim Vause, for four pounds, one shilling, and three pence, due by note of hand. Recovery was ordered by the court (Order Book 1752-1758, p. 290). In the July 1759 Court, a jury heard chages brought by Thomas Yuille against Henry ARNOLD, seeking recovery of seven pounds, three shillings, and two pence. A judgment was made in favor of the plaintiff (Order Book 1758-1762, p. 97). Finally, as shown in Order book 1758-1762, p. 206, sometime between March 1760 and May 1862 Thomas Wilson brought charges against Henry ARNOLD which were dismissed in that the plaintiff failed to prosecute. Henry ARNOLD later lived in Henry County, VA and Stokes Co., NC. There is a record of Henry Arnold buying land in Henry County in 1782, and selling it in 1784. He appears there with his son William in a 1793 deed. He is also listed on the 1800 census for Stokes County, NC. It is believed Henry Arnold had twelve children in all, several by a second wife, name not known.
