Barron in NY Posted by: Rose DeRocher Date: February 23, 1999 at 08:40:39 of 2274 Does this photo sound familiar? A relative has a picture that is a business owned by Lawrence J. Barron in Tonawanda. The picture is of the business building proper, named The Center Bridge House, a saloon and rooming house. The picture shows eight steps going up to the entrance of the building, several people are standing or sitting on the landing at the top of the steps. My husbands great grandparents moved to the Buffalo-Tonawanda NY area, their names were James and Anne (Beggin) Barron, they married in 1857 in IL and lived in IL and WI before moving to NY. They had the following children: Mary Ann Barron married Thomas Doyle, lived in WI Elizabeth Barron married a Jones, lived in Buffalo, NY in 1939. Kate Barron married Thomas Sullivan, lived in Buffalo,NY in 1939. Kate had two children Howard and Marie. Thomas Barron, lived in Buffalo, NY in 1939. This info came from Mary A Barron Doyles Obit. PLEASE email me if any of this sounds familiar. Rose DeRocher [email protected] Re: Lawrence J. Barron in NY Posted by: Terrence Doyle Date: March 17, 1999 at 09:50:13 In Reply to: Lawrence J. Barron in NY by Rose DeRocher of 2274 Dear Rose, Thank you for sharing the information from Mary A. Doyle's obituary. She was great grandmother. I grew up in Shullsburg Wisconsin where she is buried. I can also confirm that her mother's name was Beggin. Can you also clarify for me what Lawrence J. Barron's relationshlip was to Mary A. Doyle? [Note-- Barron & Doyle surnames reversed in error] I would also to have additional information about James and Ann Beggin. I am just beginning my own family research. Thomas and Mary Doyle thirteen children, most of whom lived near Shullsburg Wisconsin.
