Notes
a. Note:   Hi There Andrew, Betty, and Sue Yes, I'm still alive and kicking up here in Travers City. I really appreciate that you keep digging into Waldemar's background- It's part of my roots too. Remember that my father William was named after his father and Dad and Waldemar were first cousins. I remember tanta Lou clearly, but by that time she had divorced (apparently) G.A (I wonder what that stands for) Steehs (is this the right spelling?) In any case, when I knew her she was married to a Kukuk and lived in a nice brick home somewhere on the east side of Detroit. Before that I remember her living in a farm area. I have pictures of that home and gatherings that we had there. Apparently when Aunt Lou and G.A. Steehs were first married they found a free appartment at 35 Trowbridge if they would do the building maintenace work. When this was, I am not sure but I have pictures of them at that location. Sometime (I think it was 1937 when I was 2 years old) we moved from Pennsylvania Ave to 35 Trowbridge and took over their apartment and their responsibilities. My Dad had lost his auto repair business in the depression, bu was lucky to get a job at Ford's in 1935 ( he worked here for 25 years- retired in 1960 at age 68). Sooo I grew up on Trowbridge- right through college. They bought their own home on Winston in Detroit when he retired. Sorry, I'm so long winded. Please keep me in the "loop." We are planning a trip to Alaska (August 11th to August 26th), an elder hostel in Savannah (October 22-27) and a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia (NNovember 26th to December 20th) Reirement is an exciting time. God bless all of you and yours! Bob Schultz
