Note: Elenya Rainbow Elenya Rainbow, a former Boulder resident, died May 6, 1996, inFarmington Hills, Mich., of injuries suffered when she was hit by a carwhile riding a bicycle. She was 45. She was born Feb. 18, 1951, in Detroit, to the Rev. Thomas Waber andBetty Schultz Waber. She was a self-employed pattern maker and designer. She belonged tonumerous environmental organizations, including Greenpeace and theAudubon Society. She lived in Boulder off and on from the mid-'70s until 1993, when shemoved to Denver, where she had lived most recently. She was anenvironmentalist, hiker, bicyclist and gardener. Survivors include her parents of Farmington Hills; a sister, Karen Vogelof Detroit; two brothers, John Waber of Orange Park, Fla., and Art Waberof Cary, N.C.; her grandmother, Helene Schultz of Detroit; and hercompanion, Tony Vasquez. Funeral services were held. A memorial gathering for area friends will beheld at a later date. Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia, Mich., handled arrangements.
