Notes
a. Note:   Dear wabnoles1, Seaching through Waber records. Frederick Waber born 1834-38 in Germany. His 1st wife, you have listed, was Ernestine. Her full name is ErnestineWandel, sister of my husband's grandmother. Her parents were Gustave andLouisa Wandel who came from Germany in 1868. Ernestine was the eldest oftheir 6 children. Could it be that you have wife #1 and #2 reversed. Ernestine Waber islisted in the 1910 Census as being a widow. She was born in 1852 and diesin 1931. She was much younger than her husband. the 1880 Census shows Ernestine, Frederick and Frederick C. living inPine Grove Michigan with his father, John. In 1920 she is living with her sister Martha in Grand Rapids and in 1930she is livng with her Nephew Adolph Wandel. Let me know what you think. Judy Hensler Thanks for the update. I looked further and found that in the 1930Census it states that Ernestine was married at age 24 - That would be 1876. I had failed tonotice that it would not make her Fredericks mother. She never had anychildren that I can find. So in her obit, her child and grandchildrenlisted are really stepchildren. It's all quite a puzzle. Thanks for thehelp. Judy Ernestina Wandel Waber was born in 1852 in Germany (Prussia).
