Tall, rugged, fit. We were all shocked when he divorced Aunt Mona. Mona and my mom were very close, and we spend much of our childhood at the Collins'. She lived in the country -- just down the road from your great-grandma Constance. In fact, she sold that parcel of land to Green and Mona. g-grandma had a sweet spot for Green. She spent most of her time after her husband died. Always baking. I hadn't heard that story about Green Sr. Anita might know (Great Aunt Mary Rose's daughter). But she is in very bad shape. Your great-uncle Arnold (last of the that Fritz generation) was very sick but is better. He's living with her daughter Nancy (your mom's 1st cousin) near Columbus. My g-grand-dad on my dad's side, C.S. Miller, supposely died when a whore kicked him down a staircase after he cheated her. it was on the day before his 78th birthday. My aunt used to also say I am an apple didn't fall far from the tree. Green did like to play cards. He had a colorful way of calling out the cards -- Cowboy (king), Lady (queen) ... He loved Westerns ("The Viriginian") and a good midnight coon hunt with grape jars of home-made wine, good old boys and a pack of wailing coon dogs. If you see the surviving children, "Ellen Colins" is my my sister Ellen Miller that confusingly married Jim Collins (he died last year) and became a true Collins. Ellen went to live with the Collins when she was 10 years old. I doubt if she remembered our dad William R. that clearly. I would guess Green was the most (only?) important father figure in her life. I am glad they put her name in the list -- but I didn't want to confuse your family tree. Your grandma wrote a nice letter to my sister Mary. They still keep intouch. Bye, Cousin Greg
