Wilhelm, 63, died unexpectedly today at his Ellis Ave.,residence at 2:20 a.m. A 24-year veteran of Veterinary Medicine inBellevue, Doctor Wilhelm was ill last week suffering from a cold or theflu. However he felt well enough to attend church services Sundaymorning. Dr. Wilhelm grew up in Monroeville and attended the schools theregraduating from Monroeville High School before he became a student atCincinnati, O., Veterinary School. He was graduated in VeterinaryMedicine in 1920. For some years before moving to Bellevue Dr. Wilhelm lived in Fostoria,O. He was born in Monroeville, Jan. 2, 1894, the son of Andrew and RosaBauer Wilhelm. On Sept. 26, 1922, he married Marguerite O'Mara at Milan,O. A member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Holy Name Society, Dr.Wilhelm was active in various professional and fraternal organizations. In Fostoria he was at one time Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbusthere and in Bellevue he had been a Commander of the American Legion. Healso took an active interest in Boy Scout work in Bellevue andprofessionally was a member of the American Veterans Medical Society. Dr. Wilhelm is survived by his wife, Marguerite; three daughters, JoanWilhelm, Ann Arbor, Mich., Mrs. Robert Abell, Columbus, O., and Mrs. PaulR. McMahon, Toledo, O.; two sons John Wilhelm, Fremont, O., and AndrewWilhelm, at home; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Burkhart,Avon, O., Mrs. Ralph Fritz, Monroeville, and Mrs. Louis Luckmeier,Cleveland, O.; two brothers, Alfred, Cleveland and Fred of Put-in-Bay. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate ConceptionChurch. The Rev. Albert Bishop will be celebrant of the Solemn RequiemMass. Burial is to be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Milan, O. The Knights of Columbus will recite the Rosary for the repose of his soulat the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m. Friends may call at the Foos Funeral Home today after 7 p.m. [TheBellevue Gazette of November 11, 1957; p. 1, col. 4] OBERLIN — Friday raised Two accidents on the total reported accidents in Oberlm for the first half of 1956 to 48. Friday at 10:40 a. m. Ora L. White, 18. of 277 North Main St., was driving east on West Lorain ??.. and as he approached the state highway garage, he saw a car driven by Allen A. Wilhelm, 62. of 122 Ellis Ave.. Bellevue. who was waiting to make a left hand turn into the garage. White said the other car over the center line and he swerved to avoid hitting it. His catwent off the road, hit a utility pole, continued east and hit ano'her pole. The two poles were broken off and his car was extensively damaged.
