John George's great grandson was my namesake Bert Kerr Waits born in 1891 in Springfield Missouri. Bert Kerr Waits II is my legal name. He is my grandfather.
Background: Adam and Eva Wecht (Berks Co. spelling) was the immigrant ancestor of many of the Weight and Waite / Wait / Waits in central Pa today and other states as well. Adam and Eva has at least three sons and three daughters. We know the history of only one daughter, Eva

Casper, Adam's oldest son, and John George, his youngest son traveled together from Berks Co. Pa. and settled in Sinking Valley in Huntingdon Co. Pa. by 1798.
Casper and wife Eva PUHL had 10 known children. Casper died from an accident in 1811 and is no doubt buried on his Sinking Valley farm in what is now Tyrone Twn, Blair County. Casper and his descendants are the subject of a book by Vicki Trostle published in 2000.
Johannes is known to have had at least six sons and three daughters. We know the line of only one of Johannes descendants, his son Adam 1793 - 1849 died in xx County Ohio. We have not yet determined when Johannes died or where he is buried.
Until recently only one son of John George had been documented (Abraham 1793 - 1874). Yes, both Casper and John George had sons named Abraham. In the past two years all nine children of John George and Barbara have been identified documented. John George's grave is not known but he died in Antis Twn. in what is now Blair County and lived in the Tipton area near what is now Bellwood.
On Saturday June 26 th, 2010 a small group of descendants dedicated a new memorial monument to John George and his wife Barbara in the old section of Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood, Blair County, Pa. The monument was placed next to the old tombstones for their son
