a. Note:   Oscar A. Daniel served in the Confederate Army. He is listed in the Administration of his wife's father's estate. Her father was James Daniel. The estate was settled in January of 1867 in Montgomery County, Alabama. Oscar died prior to 1876, when J. W. McGhee, his brother-in-law was named guardian for his children who had been orphaned. The information given in regard to Oscar and his family is found in the "Virgiaia Genealogies", page 598, by Dr. Herdon. The data was transcribed from information recieved from W.S. Ray.
