a. Note:   Alice Alberta Davis was born June 24, 1924, in Bellvue to Hershel and Nettie Davis. She grew up in Fort Collins and graduated from Fort Collins High School. Alice married Russell Edward Conner on July 29, 1948, in First Assembly Church, which is Timberline Church. She and Russell owned and operated a filling station at Riverside and Mulberry, then later opened ,and ran for 33 years, Conner's Stockman Store at Stuart and College. She was a longtime participant in the 16 club, a group of ladies who got together regularly and became the best of friends over the years. She was active in Timberline Church and 4-H, attending many county and state fairs over the years. Alice enjoyed embroidery work and was a kind, Christian, loving mom and friend.
  In addition to her husband, Russell, Alice was preceded in death by her brother, Jack. She is survived by her son, Jim Conner of Fort Collins; daughter, Catherine (and Louis) Gregory of Aiken, S.C.; her sister, Helen Morimitsu of Fort Collins; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her special caregiver, Josie Carbajal of Wellington; all her special friends; the staff at Columbine Care Center West; and her little dog and constant companion, Jasmine.
