a. Note:   Moved to Bosque County where he died in 1870. In Alabama, he opened a wrought iron manufacturing plant . By 1842 hewas trading under the name of CF & S Clabaugh with his brotherSamuel. It was dissolved in 1844 when Samuel went to Arkansas. In 1841 CF was Justice of the Peace in Alabama. He moved to Texas in1851. In 1860 he moved his family to Bosque County settling in thesoutheastern section where he acquired land on Cotton, Willow, andChildress Creeks. He was a stock raiser and built the first wroughtiron manufacturing plant in Central Texas. He was a Master Mason, amember of the Missionary Baptist Church and served as a CountyCommissioner.
