Note: ' whole family died and he went into some kind of home. When the Civil War began he tried to join at the age of 16, but the South would not take him. So he went North and they took him as a drummer boy. After the war he was on his way back to New Orleans and stopped at Archibald and Martha home and they hired him to work on the farm. They had 7 children Archibald H., James Melton, John Sanderfer, Francis Marion, Martha Ora, William C. and George Logan. Note: Married Charles Montgomery Andres on October 1, 1870. His father came from France and was a medical doctor in New Orleans, when some kind of plague broke out and killed people by the hundreds. Charles
