Conner In the name of God Amen: I William R. Conner of the County of Floyd and State of Virginia being of sound mind and body to make this to be my last will and testament that is to say I desire in the first place that all my just debts is to be paid as soon after my desease as may be convenient out of my estate. In the second place I will and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Conner all my real and personal estate of which she is to have and to make use of during her life. It is also my will that my son Jacob R. Conner to have a certain boundary of land is all the land that I have on the south side of a road known as the old saw log road which I value at six dollars per acre. It is also my will that my son Peter Conner to have a certain boundary of land that is a boundary that has been survayed and plated which land I also value at six dollars per acre. It is allso my will that my son Albert Conner to have a certain boundary of land. Beginning at the crop roads and running with the road Eastward to my outside line Which adjoins Fleming Poff and with my line to the road at the meeting house and with the road to a branch thus leaving the road running up a lane to the top of a hill near an old barn to a crop fence and with the fence at the Pine Spur road and with road to the beginning which land I also value at six dollars per acre. It is also my will that my son Samuel S. Conner to have a certain boundary of land I have between the boundarys I gave to my two sons Peter and Albert Conner which land I also value at six dollars per acre. I also give to my said son Samuel one other peace of land beginning at the top of the hill at the crop fence near an old barn and running with the land with road to my outside which joins John O. Conner. All the land I have on the south side of the above named road to the above named crop fence which I also value at six dollars per acre. It is also my will that my daughter Mary Poff, wife of Peter Poff, to have a certain boundary of land beginning at the old barn at the top of the hill and running with the road to the meeting house line and with my line _____ above the meeting house to a new fence and down the same to a Branch and down said Branch to my outside line and with it to the road leading to the above named Barn which land I also value at six dollars per acre. It is also my will that my grandson Zachariah Carr to have one hundred dollars out of my estate provided he lives to be twenty one years of age. It is also my will that all the above parcels of land to be surveyed and plats made out so as to ascertain the number of acres to each of the above named sons and daughters so they may calculate the amount of my real estate. It is also my will that the foregoing named sons and daughters pay in money to my son Jonathan Conner and my daughter, Julina Carr, wife of John Carr, _____ to make them equal with the foregoing named sons and daughters. The amount of estate to be equally divided between all. It is also my desire that my three sons Peter, Albert, and Samuel S. Conner to be my executors and guardian for my grandson Zachariah Carr. It is also my will that my several sons and daughters to have five years to pay my son Jonathan and daughter Julina their part of the estate to be paid yearly equal installments and I do hereby declear these presents to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said William R. Note by Scott Schaffer Deed between Jonathan Conner and son William Conner This indentors made the 22nd day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-four between Jonathan Conner and Sarah his wife of the County of Montgomery and State of Virginia of the orphans and William Conner, Junior of the said county and the State aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the said Jonathan Conner and his wife Sarah for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars consent money to the said Jonathan Conner in hand paid the receipt whereof is acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William Conner Junior a certain boundary of land whereon he now lives. Beginning on Pine Spur road and the corner of my fence next to Meadow Run from thence a strait line to the upper corner of my fence next toward his house leaving said corner strait course to William Conner Seniors line and with said line to James Coppers line thence down said line to the road leading from Andrew Conners unto the Pine Spur road from thence to the beginning which said land or boundary of land is supposed to contain seventy-five acres more or less. To have and to hold the same with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise thereunto appertaining to the said William Conner and his heirs representatives and assign forever and the said Jonathan Conner and Sarah his wife for themselves and their heirs the said boundary of land with the appurtenances unto the said William Conner and his heirs representatives and assigns will against the claim of themselves and their heirs and against the claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever by these presents warrant and forever defend in Witness whereof the said Jonathan Conner and Sarah his wife both hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year above written. (Signed by) J. Conner Sarah Conner Pine Spur Road does not exist any more. Probably anyone could walk along it, but it was near Cross Roads Church and went into Franklin County going to Callaway. Deed between nephew William Conner Jr. and wife Elizabeth and William Conner Sr. This indenture made the 17th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-six. William Conner Junr and Elizabeth Conner his wife of the one part and William Conner Sr. of the other part all of the county of Montgomery and State of Virginia. Witnesseth that the said William Conner Jr. and his wife Elizabeth both this day for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged both bargained and sold and doth by these presents bargain sell and deliver to William Conner Senior his heirs and assigns forever all that boundary of land that lies between a spring branch that rises in an old field of said William Conner Sr. and the line of said William Conner Junr and bounded as followeth. Beginning at the said branch opposite to a corner or a white oak in the line of said William Conner Junr and along his fence and with his line and fence to his corner a black oak sapling said corner a South east course to the above named branch thence up said branch to the beginning. To have and to hold the said boundary of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anvwise thereunto belonging to the only use and behoof of him the said William Conner Senr his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Conner Junr and Elizabeth his wife for themselves and their heirs doth covenant and agree with the said William Conner Sear and his heirs to warrant and defend the right and title of the premises aforesaid against the claims and demands of themselves their heirs and assigns as well as against the claims and demands of all and assigns as well as against claims and demands of all and every person or persons whatever.
