  Another Old Pioneer Gone
  Even Wade an old and respected resident of Huron township passed away early Sunday morning Feb 24 after an illness of several months during which time he bore his sufferings with patience and christian fortitude, being administered to by kind and loving friends.
 Mr. Wade was born in Ohio in 1840, came to Huron County in 1860 and in response to a call for volunteers in the Civil War, inlisted in September 1862 and served with that regiment untill the close of the war during which time his regiment was engaged in many spirited and hotly contested engagements and participated in that memorable march with Sherman to the sea. At the close of the war he was discharged from the service in detroit in August 1865 and returned to the county of his doption. On July 5th 1865 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Randall, of Huron City, and shortly afterwards settled upon the farm where they have lived since.
 Several children were born to this union, three boys, Thomas, George,and Robert, and four girls; Mrs. Fred Wade Moore, Mrs. Charles Wade Nabring, and Misses Laura and Lillian, who with brother Robert are at home, with Mrs. Wade left to mourn the loss of a kind indulgent father and a tender and affectionate husband.
 In the death of Mr. Wade the community has lost an honored and respected resident, a kind neighbor and exemplary christian who was always ready to extend a helping hand and words of cheer to those in need.
 Relativeswho were present from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. James L. Randall of Clotha. Min., Mr. and Mrs. William H Randall and son Floyd of West Bay City, Mr. and Mrs. James H Armlin and George Randall of River Rouge, Mich., and Phemia Armlin of Port Hope, Mr. and Mrs. John Knight of Standish, Mrs. Robert McLevey of Florence. Ontario.
 Mr. Wade was converted 15 years ago under the labors of Rev. W.F. Vogel, united with the Evangelical church and remained faithful member untill his death.
 The funeral services were held Tuesday 10 a.m. at the Huron Evangelical Church, conducted by Rev. V. Buxton of Verona. Interment in the New River Cemetery.
