a. Note:   as a Henry J. Wade and it is assumed this is the same Henry. He served in this capacity from 1870 -1874 according to a record listing early Frostburg officials. Henry lived most of his life in Frostburg but it is not known exactly, where he was born. Henry was a shoemaker and learned the trade from his father. He also owned a business with a Moses Wade called HJ Wade & Co. around 1859. His relation to Moses is unknown at this time however strong circumstantial evidence indicates Moses was his brother. About 1876 Henry moved his family to Mt. Vernon, PA located in Fayette Co. His sons worked in the iron ore mines. It is not known why Henry would have moved his family at this point in his life however, based on some other circumstantial facts Henry may have had a sister (Emily Porter) living in this area. Other than the fact he died in Mt.Vernon, PA , his final resting place is also unknown.
Note:   Not a lot is known about Henry. Frostburg's first official city clerk w

c. Note:   s anyone knows they never had any children together. Its possible that she died during child birth but there is no evidence that suggests that other than her young age.
