Note:   William was born at Long Buckley in Northington, England in 1595 in the 37th year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth and came to New England on the ship Lion in 1632 with his four children and brother Christopher, and resided in "Cambridge, Mass on the westerly side of Holyoke St. near Harvard St. He became a "freeman" in 1632 and a selectman in 1634-5. He came from Newtown with the Hooker Company in 1636 and remained in Hartford the balance of his life. He was a representative of the General Court of Hartford between 1636 and 1675. He died in 1675.
