Notes
a. Note:   Henry McGrath remarried and emigrated to USA sometime after Mary Ann'sdeath. Henry had a brother Terence who was married to Rose Ann Conway, sister of Finlay Duffs third wife Elizabeth Conway. This is information from Marion From : Marian Subject : Re - Terence McGrath Hello Linda I am curious about Terence McGrath 1865. My Grandfather, Thomas McGrath named Terence and Rose Ann Conway McGrath as his parents on his marriage certificate but his birth cert named Helen as his mother and unknown fathe I know there were a lot of Terences in that line of the family but have only just started putting my tree together. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Are we related? Warm Regards Marian Eydmann From : Marian Subject : Re - Terence McGrath Hello Linda, Thank you for your reply and for opening your tree to me. I have just started my tree and will be in touch with you once the link is clear. There is a link but I am not clear yet how. My mother was Rose Ann Conway McGrath (1925). She grew up in Seggsburn, Inverkeithing....if you look on a map Seggsburn was a terrace of houses on the west of Inverkeithing in the triangle made if you join Inverkeithing, Rosyth and Rosyth Dockyard. Her brother William emigrated to Australia. Mum''s parents were Mary Smith (1892-1969) linen weaver and Thomas McGrath (1893-1955) blacksmith...who gave Terence McGrath And Rose Ann Conway as his parents on his wedding cert. They were married at Inverkeithing R.C. Church (1914). Some one from that branch of the family built the Church, a prefab type of building so the large extended family could go to Mass easily. They also owned and ran the "Model" lodginghouse in Inverkeithing and the tenement block Jamestown which you gave as Henry McGrath''s Birthplace. I went to St.John''s R.C.Primary and seemed to be related to half the school (from my mum''s side) they were all Docherty (Rosyth), Myles (Queensferry) and Gribbons (Inverkeithing) Anyway as I said, I am just starting out on my tree and will be in touch when I get anything substancial. Your tree is so impressive.....well done. Marian More info on the McGrath tree from Stuatr Eydmann: Linda I think this summarises the Inverkeithing McGraths (subject to checking).
