She loved this little house which looked out over the bay and caught the sun on its front porch. She was a wonderful cook and her Bramble cordial packed a real punch! She was an accomplished needlewoman and spent hours knitting, sewing and producing fine crochet and embroidery. She also took an active interest in her large family writing many letters as they scattered around the world. She was very proud of her ancestry and spoke of the father she had hardly known with pride. The stories and family 'myths' she related to the writer has helped greatly in piecing bits of the family history together. Isabella was a very tall well made woman who became stout in her later years. This led to problems with her heart and she suffered several heart attacks. Eventual cause of death was a massive stroke which saw her linger in a vegetative state for six weeks before another massive stroke blessed her with release. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
