Notes
a. Note:   Phillip and his family emigrated to Wisconsin 1839 according to information on the 1900 census for Peter J. Strieter. Their 4th living child, Catherine was born in Wisconsin about 1847. Catherine's age on the Sept. 21, 1850 Census of New Berlin is 3. All the information of Phillip & Catherine Strieter is from the 1850 census of New Berlin of Waukesha County in Wisconsin. A Catherine Kern (spelling?), 19, is living with the family, relationship unknown.
There is an Evangelical & Reformed Church of New Berlin burial record for a Philipp Striedter, born Rheinfellen Prussia (no age given) Date: 11 July 1873. Death is listed as an accident. The wall of a well caved in and fell on him. It took 20 hours to dig him out. He was buried 13 July 1873. I believe this is our Phillip.
