Legg b. 16 May 1812 of Frederick County, PA d. 13 Jun 1849 near Dillsboro, Clay Twnshp, IN burial Dillsboro, IN (Ind. 1850 Mortality Schedule shows he died in January of Cholera. CORRESPONDENCE: e-mail Subject: Owen Legg and Temperance Mason Date: Fri, 20 Feb 1998 21:17:27 -0500 From: [email protected] (Stevens, Bryce) To: <[email protected]> Hi Willis, Owen Legg, who died of cholera in 1850, left Temperance Mason Legg as his widow. She lived quite a while longer and is buried in the Dillsboro cemetery. Their daughter Sarah Jane Legg married Milton Moon Henderson, these are my great-grandparents. I have Clarissa in my data as a daughter, but the name was all I had until I saw your posting. I do have quite a bit of Legg material, and surely would like to learn about Clarissa's life and descendants. If you are still seeking connections, please reply. There is a Legg Chat-Line I came across that is for family information exchange (more like postings than chatting!) Sincerely, Bryce Stevens near Knoxville NOTE: I did not have any record of Sarah Jane Legg until this message from Bryce Stevens. CORRESPONDENCE: e-mail Subject: Re: Fw: Owen Legg and Temperance Mason Date: Sat, 14 Mar 1998 20:19:41 -0700 From: Willis Arnold Finchum <[email protected]> To: "Stevens, Bryce" <[email protected]> BCC: [email protected] References: 1 Yes, Bryce, I did get the GEDCOM and have studied it some. Sorry I didn't answer sooner, but things have been hectic for me. I did put a link to "Book" on Descendants of Owen and Clarissa on my main Web Page: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/9464/ When that link is followed it goes to http://arnoldfinchum.tierranet.com/owenlegg/owenl0%7bwebpreview0%7d.htm I also put the picture Sarah Jane Legg on my Geocities Page. Do you want GEDCOM of my material or can you find what you want from the Book? The Book has all of my notes copied in to it, but won't put them in GEDCOM. I have lots of pictures on my pages and a list of my descendants is on my TriPod page; http://members.tripod.com/~finchum/index.html I have never found a marriage record for Clarissa Legg and don't know where or when she was married. Thanks for your patience with me. Regards. I have had some serious health problems among other things and am just getting back into "swing of things". I quote some of our correspondence from before to jog your memory. I have changed ISP and the one I was using before at Utah State University was "retired" and so I had to get new one. I now have one that should not get outdated. It is from our Amateur Radio Relay League which is an international organization of Hams. They have an automatic forwarding of mail addressed to me at [email protected] it will always be forwarded to my current ISP. I just have to send e-mail to let them know where I want it to go. I have changed ISP several times and the service works great! Have you looked at the references I gave you for my information on Clarissa Legg? Hope we can get back in communication!! Best to you from Arnold Finchum, [email protected] 278 W 870 N Logan, UT 84321-7819 435-787-8536 INTERNET: e-mail TO: "Eileen Howe" <[email protected]> FROM: Willis Arnold Finchum <[email protected]> SUBJECT: Re: Legg At 05:52 PM 2/7/02 -0500, you wrote: I was checking for William Legg, born 1758 and saw your message and think you are in the same Legg Link.
